Sale Pieces, Hurry!

Briana Linen Blouse is only $50, marked down from $85. And she is an excellent layering piece into the fall, especially trendy under a waterfall vest so the mandarin collar and bell sleeves are highlighted.

The Khaki is much cuter in person, just a true British Khaki, not a lot of yellow (contrary to the website photo) or green.

We also have marked down Diana Wrap Top to $50 from $80. We only have SW left, and she runs small (so does Briana for that matter).

Get them while you can. Briana and Diana are marked down because there are only a few left in each style.

Designer Duds for Big Bosoms

Well, they pretty much don’t exist.  Certain manufacturers are more generous in the bust curve than others (BCBG, D&G, etc.) but for the most part, designers view the bosom as a nuisance.  If you fall into our WE (Well Endowed) proportions, then you may sometimes luck out and find a shirt to button smoothly over your chest, but if you are special and find yourself fitting our RE (Really Endowed) proportion, then you are going to be hard pressed to find a tailored top for your beautiful female form.

Do you see any room or protrusion of the bustline in this Roland Mouret jacket (yes, in fact that is a man in the picture, he has no bustline)? I can see why designers view the bust mound (yes, pattern making books refer to the bustline as a bust mound) as a nuisance.  We have countless fittings on our fit model to ensure the accuracy of our fit.  But bustlines come high and low, which affects the placement of that all important princess seam.

So we want to encourage you, its not your body which is an aberration of normalcy, but rather ready to wear is just not built for D+ women.  And we’re always saddened when a client in the showroom proclaims, “these breasts are the bane of my existence”.  Carissa Rose is here to empower you with great fitting choices!

Fall Preview Party Update

The Preview Party was fantastic, we had a great time visiting with current clients and meeting new ones. We are ever thankful for our Dallas area clients who come to the showroom to shop.

Our new fall styles are available in dress sizes, 6-18 Well Endowed (WE) and 4-16 Really Endowed (RE). So it was exciting see how well everyone fit into the new sizing system.

Katerina, our new shirtdress, is coming this week.  She is modeled in the first picture by a client, and in the second picture, well, she is modeled.

Please join us this Thursday August 12th from 4p.m. – 8p.m. for our Fall Preview Party.  We have new shirts, dresses and jackets arriving soon.

All pre-orders taken during the party receive a promotional discount of 30%.  And our new styles are available in dress sizes 4-18.

Food and drink served, so at the very least come and have happy hour at Carissa Rose.  A great way to beat the Texas heat in August.

Click here for our location, we are just NE of White Rock Lake at 606 Northlake Drive Dallas 75218 (tel. 214.727.9625).  From all of us on the Carissa Rose Team, we look forward to seeing you in just a couple of days!

Meet Portia

While summer is cooking away, we are finalizing fall and holiday styles. Here our fit model is testing Portia, a part of Carissa Rose Fall II.

Portia is our pintuck blouse. We’ve used narrow pintucks to create vertical direction, they don’t interfere with those beautiful bustlines.

The full bust always looks its best from the side or at an angle.  This is an iridescent purple color, she will also be available in white and night.  With the underbust seam and the open notched collar, I’m looking forward to wearing her myself.
